The LP is involved in the following Interreg IIIB - Alpine Space Projects: CRAFTS and NEPROWALTER as Lead Partner and in QUALIMA, VIA ALPINA, ALPCITY, VIA ADVENTURE, IRON ROUTE as Project Partner. During the previous Structural Funds Programme for years 1994 - 1999, the Department for Mountain Areas was the Transnational Lead Partner in the Project C1 "Rationalisation, maintenance and reintegration of public and private services at local and regional level" within the Transnational Cooperation Pilot Action "Alpine Space" as from art. 10 of the ERDF. Moreover, the Department participated as project partner in the following projects: A1 RegionalpA2 Guide to Best Practices on Spatial Planning A3 Alliance in the Alps D2 Protecting and recovering settlement typologies in small alpine centres The Department has also coordinated some projects carried out within the Cross - border Interreg IIA Italy/Austria and Italy/Slovenia and is now coordinating seven projects within the current Cross - border Interreg IIIA Italy/Austria (3 projects), Italy/Slovenia (3 projects) and Adriatic Cross-border (1 project).
